The Bride

Martha Kaitlin Pidcock

Martha grew up in Seattle and was active in theatre through High School. While she initially attended a liberal arts college in pursuit of a Political Science degree, she ultimately achieved a degree in Computer Science & Software Engineering after a near-death experienced compelled her to change tracks. Today she applies both passions to her work at Code for America as a Software Engineering Manager helping to bring free and fair tax filing tools to all American taxpayers.

The Groom

Keaton Christopher Brandt

Keaton grew up in Groton, Massachusetts where he developed a love of engineering by building K’nex robots, web sites, and simple video games. After planning a family trip to the West Coast in 2010, he realized two life goals: he wanted to work at Google, and he wanted to live in Seattle. Six years later, through a bit of luck, a bit of skill, and a dorm-room side-business, he achieved both goals. He also fulfilled another childhood dream by adopting Buttercup, a 13-lb Chihuahua mix. Still, something was missing…

Our Story

OkCupid was more than just okay

In early 2021, the future bride and groom were looking to find partnership during a time of isolation and loneliness. They initially bonded on OkCupid over their shared interest in Seattle’s future public transit. After a virtual Settlers of Catan date, and then an in-person sushi date, they made their relationship official. Less than a year later they moved in to a house in Greenlake together. Martha proposed to Keaton on April 27th, 2024 at the grand opening of the Link 2 Line. Today you can find them walking the dog around the lake, taking the train to a sushi date, and exploring the beautiful PNW.
